The Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound is a member of IASA (International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives), and has been internationally acknowledged through this organization. This is giving the Institute world wide contacts.
Director Jacqueline von Arb was elected Vice President of IASA Executive Board for the period 2005-2008 and was reelected for the period 2008-11. Her responsibilites in the first term were membership development and outreach. In the second term she is assigned the responsibility for the IASA international conferences.
Per Dahl serves as the Norwegian contact of the IASA Nordic Branch.
