Access
One of our main tasks is to give the general public access to our collections. We are continually cataloguing items as well as improving listening facilities, so that researchers and students can work on site. We present new exhibitions regularily, the latest on the history of Tanberg Sound Recorders.
We are also planning to digitise key parts of our collection, both to preserve the material and to provide better access. Soundclips will gradually be available, but in the meantime, you can listen to a small selection of old recordings.
Our catalogue can be browsed online. If what you're looking for isn't in the catalogue doesn't mean it's not there, as the catalogue presently covers only 20% of the material. Please write us and we will assist you in your enquiries.
The institute is open for visits at any time during our opening hours. You will be given an introductory tour of the premises and introduced to our catalogue and sorting system.
If you have any questions about our services, please feel free to ask!
We strive for excellence. Do contact us with comments and suggestions.
