Norwegian Sound Archive Conference 2009
The 2009 Conference will be held in Trondheim, hosted by Rockheim, the new Norwegian National Museum for Pop and Rock, the Music library at the University of Trondheim, the Council for Folk Music and Folk Dance. This time, the Conference will be held together with the Folk Music Archive Seminar, and take place in Trondheim, on 27-29 October 2009. (dates were chosen to celebrate the 27th is UNESCO's World Day on Audiovisual Heritage)

- Thursdag 5th. November 2009: Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique

- Thursdag 11th. February 2010: Italia; Berlioz: Harold in Italy/Strauss: Aus Italien

The courses are a cooperation between the Rogaland Music Council, the University of Stavanger's Institute for Music and Dance, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, and the Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound.
Concert Trips 2009-2010
In conjunction with the listening courses, the Rogaland Music Council will organize a concert trip to Vienna, possibly around 23-26 October 2009 and another trip to a European music capital in spring / early summer 2010.

Cultural Walk - Music, Dance and Drama
In cooperation with Stavanger Municipality, the Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound participates in the Kulturvandring MDD (Cultural walk - Music, Dance and Drama) where cultural institutions gives presentations for pupils intending to apply to the Music, Dance, and Drama branches of study in Upper Secondary School.
The following lessons are planned for the School Year 2009-10:

- Monday 26th. October 2009, 1000-1100
- Monday 22nd. February 2010, 1000-1100
- Monday 15th. mars 2010, 1000-1100
How to Capture the Sound, a Cultural Satchel Project
The Norwegian Institute of Recorded Sound offers an introductory lecture on sound recording for pupils in primary school. Read more. Registration details on the website of Den kulturelle skolesekken Rogaland.
